Techniques

A little about how...

I create handmade ceramics in small batches. I make everything myself on the potter's wheel or by using the hand building technique. I mainly use stoneware clay, sometimes porcelain.
I decorate my work with coloured slips and commercial glazes, some painted on, some are dipped.  I then will then set my electric kiln to 1222 degrees centigrade.
The complete making process can take anywhere between 3 - 6 weeks.

Creative development is ever evolving in my studio. I strive to make ceramics that invite functional and tactile appeal, whilst keeping my own unique style. I want to create pieces that provide my customers great pleasure to use in the kitchen and around the home.

When I make ceramics, I love to hear customer feedback and know that the pieces I have made are being used and enjoyed, whether everyday or kept for those special occasions.

My home stoneware ranges are intended for everyday use. I provide care instructions for each piece to help you get the best from your purchase.

I will take commission work if it is something I can fit into my making regime and I will take wholesale orders if the volume is within my reach.
